Worthless internet

There are a many of us that either live or own homes in either Willard or Greenwood, WI. Several of us are on Mead Lake and our internet capabilities are so little that I can do absolutely no work on my computer, even when I'm directly connected to the line through an ethernet cord. The consistent response from TDS is that our area has been overloaded since 2012 but there are no scheduled improvements for our area planned at this time. It's already been overloaded for 5 years. Forget streaming because we haven't been able to do that for years, but now me (including others that live here) cannot even get on the internet. And yes, I pay for the highest speed. Unfortunately, we have no other options in this area. I and others have already complained to the FCC. This customer is thoroughly disgusted with TDS.

This internet is by far the worst I've ever used!! It's *** terrible, signal goes in and out constantly I've had to go and turn the router off about every hour and sometimes I have to do it within minutes from the last time!! Whatever you guys pay for this it's way way too much!! I'll never use this provider ever and I'll try my hardest to make sure no one I know will ever use it!!!

Slow or no internet in Indiana

Also live in a rural area outside of Indy. No other choice but TDS. I have to reset my modem usually every 5 min. If I get an hour of internet it's an unusual day. Servicemen, who are nice but ineffective, can't solve my problem. Had Comcast fast internet before relocating and now in extreme pain dealing with slow to no internet. The day another company offers me a chance to change providers is the day I leave TDS. I expect this company to go out of business in the future. I'm guessing that he FCC is powerless about making a company improve its services. Probably gonna be a competitor that puts TDS quickly out of business.

Literally the exact same situation I'm in. I just recently relocated to a rural part of Indiana, and my speed is .73 upload.

I've never even heard of it being that bad. I couldn't even imagine playing my Xbox. I can barely even stream Netflix.

I'm actually considering selling my new house because TDS is so bad. Feel sorry for the guy who buys it.

Tds - Internet Service Review

What exactly happened? I opted for tds as an internet provider. The best part about tds is how clean my house is, because I spend all my time cleaning my house while I am staring at a loading screen, or a buffering screen, or when I have to reset my internet cause it decided to drop to less than 2Mbps. Customer service wise is an even bigger joke they are so rude on The phone it's incredible I'd imagine it is just because they are so angry about not being able to check their Facebook at work because their internet crashed

I'm currently in carlsbad new mexico and the tv service is horrible.. Rare when I don't have one or 2 channels that it's not getting it dropped cozi and tnt and 2 of the channels loses volume.Worse TV viewing.Avoid them at all cost

Quite possibly the worst internet and phone service ever. They wired the new housing on Holloman AFB NM and we have to use their service for internet. Such a waste of a company. DO NOT USE TDS AT ALL!

Would get rid of TDS if we could

TDS service is consistently dishonest and often not working. Their advertised DSL rate is frequently twice what I can actually measure and their email service is totally unreliable.

I live in a rural area and there is no competitor. In addition their rates are at least twice what they would be in town 5 miles away. It's a horrible company. When you call and try and get service they always fall back on the same nonsense "It's an outage and we're working on it.

Their defense of slow download speeds is boiler plate "Well we have a lot oaf traffic".

Yeah, at 2 AM. This has got to be at least 100 words by now not sure why complaint won't load.

It's the same with TDS where I'm at. Their excuse is always the same..."you're at the end of the service line".

They refuse to upgrade their system and raise rates. i just sent a complaint to the FCC and Ny's "How is your ISP website".

TDS Sucks {{REDACTED}}. Had an outage in the area, happened on Fri. I called them that afternoon at around 2 pm. I was told that I won't be able to have service until Monday the following week. Up until that point I had nothing for speed. I pay for 60megs, and barely get 10. Most of the time it's 2 megs or less.

We were promised 30$ a month service by the TDS representative. So we got out service set up and everything but after that we weren't able to get ahold of the representative anymore and thought that was a little strange. The next moth our bill comes and it is $40 a month for service, so we call and go into the branch and do everything we can to try and get them to fix it, but apparently the representative that told us we could have $30 a month wasn't a very good employee because they couldn't get ahold of him and he never even signed the paper saying that it was going to be $30 a month. Anyways so we stayed with the service hoping they could get ahold of the representative and fix our price and finally decided to stop using their service because we didn't want to keep paying 40$ a month when we were promised 30$ a month. Then when I called in to try and get a free month of service for all of our troubles they said there was nothing they could do about it. so basically we were lied to and it's somehow our fault that we signed up for tds service with a *** employee, who never even signed our papers wich probably is illegal, and TDS has made it pretty clear they don't care about their customers at all.

I have had TDS for 2.5 years. There are no other options where I live.

When we first started we signed up for the highest speed( somewhere around 30mps) but later found out that they could not supply those speeds at my house so it was adjusted tot the 15mps speed. I have done many speed test and the most I have ever received is 5mps. There service is intermittent and have to restart router 2or 3 time a day. I put up with there poor service for 2 years then I guess my 2 year promo ran out and bill went from $43 to $77 for internet only WTF.

Why am I paying almost twice as much and the service has only gotten worse. Why CANT THEY JUST BE UP FRONT AND SAY OUR SERVICE SUCKS WHERE YOU LIVE AND ADJUST THE PRICE BASED THE SERVICE RECIEVED!!

They are down more than any other service provider Ive used. Today is day 2 of it being out. When I test the speeds they have never been close to what they claim you may get. I would avoid them if you need service 30 days a month

TDS doesn't give two *** about the customers, there customer service is complete dog-***, most of the time the customer service representative has no idea what the *** their talking about. Or they put u on hold until u hang up. We tried calling tds to ask about upgrading or making our connection more stable. They told us that there was a problem in the area, and they have no idea what the problem is or when it will be resolved. Then when we asked if we could talk to someone who might know what the problem was, we were left on hold for HOURS. What ever you do, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT get TDS. Stay the *** away from this *** isp.
